Strawberry Blonde all extrand 2nd batch help

It depends on what your going for. If u want an easy drinking blonde that's enjoyable u don't want to go too strong. I used three pounds of strawberries and puréed them. It had a nice aroma and strawberry flavor. I just opened my last bottle and after three months it still tasted like the day I...

Strawberry Blonde all extrand 2nd batch help

Three lbs is a lot of honey in five gallons. I would cut it back to two. U can add one in the boil and one at secondary to add more honey flavor as most is lost during initial fermentation. If u have access to fresh fruit I would use three pounds of strawberries, and purée them. Then rack beer...

    Kegging

U have to have the tank and a regulator. U first have to put enough pressure in the tank, around 30 psi to carb the beer. Then u will use the tank again to keep a co2 blanket to push the beer down

    Using fruit extract before bottling

I would say add it a little at a time to your carboy. Let it sit a little bit and sample it. If u think its not enough add a little more until u get your desired taste

    Hoppy redish ale

Well u could actually keep the light dme. But still up the grain. U should get a nice color out of it as we'll as some nice flavor. It will look brown until it clears

    Hoppy redish ale

U could always use an amber dme. And I would up the crystal to 1 lb. steep it until the color looks good to u

    dryhop-large carboy

Don't think they meant what you think. I think a lot of us like using a carboy for fermenting because unlike a white bucket, u can see what's going on at the various stages of fermentation. That doesn't mean that it's out in the open

    Stirring Malt Extract

U could also switch to dry malt extract. It doesn't just sit on the bottom. Little more expensive, but worth it to me

    My first brew plan

You won't get an accurate hydro reading if u take it before u top it off with water. It will be higher due to the concentration in three gallons

    too much hops?

I made an imperial ipa and used a total of 10 oz of hops in a five gallon batch. Came out to 150 ibus. Used 7.5 oz in the boil and 2.5 oz as a dry hop. It's bitter as all hell and I love it!!
