    Jerks on Classifieds

I'm just saying... If you list an item, or group of items, for sale... you should at least reply to the respondents. A couple weeks ago, a guy listed an entire brewery setup... got over 20 responses, by PM as well as email... NOT A SINGLE RESPONSE to anyone... If my offer is too low, or in...

    Jerks on Classifieds

I'm actually talking about HBT classifieds... guys list stuff... get multiple posts from other users expressing interest... PMs sent... emails sent... NO responses to anyone. Why list your crap if you don't really want to sell it...

    Cream Ale... yeast substitution question

Our local club has a group brew tomorrow. I have assembled ingredients for a cream ale that I have previously brewed and like a lot. It used WLP029... LHBS provided WLP029 that is DEAD... two days in the starter on the stir plate and no activity. My question is... should I sub WLP007 or...

Weissbier Bee Cave Brewery Bavarian Hefeweizen

Both batches turned out really nicely. The 3068 attentuated just a bit more so the ABV is slightly higher. Also, the 3068 carbed a bit higher as well... I love hefeweizens! Like drinking a cold glass of banana bread! :drunk:

    Gumbo

I start my roux in the convection oven... I've never been able to get it dark enough like that though. I transfer it to the pot and continue browning. It does allow me to do other prep work while the roux is cooking though.
