    Cut the keggle... Now what???

I found a small 9" false bottom for pretty cheap on amazon and just used barb fittings and silicone tubing. Can get kinked when using a wort chiller but easily avoided. So far works really well and was cheap

And personally I would get the ball valve before the sight glass. Good luck your new venture. Cheers

    Cut the keggle... Now what???

The false bottom is to strain out the grains and hops that you brew with. And yes a bottom spout is pretty key as that is where the false bottom comes into play. I too am just starting all grain, and there is a lot of startup and gear that can make brewing all grain smooth and fun. Not to...

    First brewstand first time welding

Anybody got suggestions for burners and where to order from? Live on Kauai and can't find much here. Don't need a huge BTU, just enough to get a good boil in under 45 min.

    First brewstand first time welding

For my first time welding I think it came out pretty clean. Just need to get two more burners, and figure out what else I need. Any suggestions and equipping this thing would be appreciated.

    Very mild fermentation

So my brew has stopped all activity in the fifth day a primary. Maybe a bubble a minute now. Should I rack into a secondary or just let it go all the way in the primary? Smells great!!

What type of brew would this be considered?

Yea I may have gotten ahead of myself while trying to find a use for all the leftover grains. I guess it will be an experiment. It's fermentation went quick and dropped off quick. OG was at 1.030 and 3 days later is at 1.010. One point off from the final. So I think I will rack it into a...
