Our trip from 5 to 10 Gallon Batches

The only thing that I have a problem with the way I mounted my valves and gauges is that with the bigger brew stand, I will need a 6" extension that will extend them past the end of the stand.

Our trip from 5 to 10 Gallon Batches

Currently 6 guys, I am the engineer and assistant brewer, we have shaggy as the brew master and recipe writer, and our founding father and ceo, also our accountant and business manager, and our taster and salesman, plus our latest addition our wood smith and 55 gallon barrel supplier. So...

Our trip from 5 to 10 Gallon Batches

Here is the stand that I designed, cut, and welded. Prior to this I have not welded anything, knowing the basics I used a harbor freight Dual Mig 131 with flux core wire and no shielding gas. Here is the stand upside down Here is the rest of the album, http://imgur.com/a/7pJHO#0 Safety Video

    Brew Stand - TX

I am welding one this week, that will hold what you are looking for, but alas the brewtroller, valves, and other parts are to be added later. We (me and 5 other guys all brew together) are building slowly in phases. We have keggles, now the stand, then the pumps, then the rims tube or herms...

    PWM Stir Plate Plans

I bought a 1.5-12 volt adjustable power supply with interchangable plug ends from Frys electronics. I put a female end on the fan cable and it works pretty well. Ill post a picture later

    PWM Stir Plate Plans

With your setup you used a 24v fan, where as most computer fans are 12v. The PWM you listed in your earlier post only goes from 12v to 40v. So my question is you have to use a 24v fan other wise you wont be able to drop the voltage low enough, so it would spin slow with a 12v fan? Is there a...

    5 Gallon Stir Plate

I would love to have a stir plate that could reduce the fermentation time for a mead like that. You are planning on stirring the mead during fermentation, for the full length, or just first week or 2? I had a brochet that just didn't want to ferment. Stirring might have helped.

    PWM Stir Plate Plans

Just for all the people out there that dont wanna solder a board, can we get a close up of the prototype power, so we can see which legs are on each row and column?

    Stainless Steel Tube

So for most of the really pretty looking brew stand builds I see that have keggles or bigger vessels and are CIP most people use SS tube with nice radius bends. Barginfittings.com lists 1/2" SS tube as 75 cents PER inch. I know that it is probably cheaper than that. Which is $180 per 20 feet...

Do you have pictures? What kind of solenoid valve? Propane or NG

    Simple solution sought.

If I am reading this right, you are looking for a cheap and effective way to do the following 1: light your burner remotely 2: control the flow of gas 1 has lots of options. The cheapest you could try would a push button bbq igniter. You can buy these at almost every hardware store. You could...

    Chugger Pump inlet style

I am also interested since the SS chugger pump is so affordable. Considering how many priming problems people had with march pumps due to orientation, I would like to hear how people orient their chugger pumps. Has anyone used an auto air purge valve with the pump? I see pictures of march...

Our trip from 5 to 10 Gallon Batches

Yay for my engineering work. :) I welcome and comments or suggestions about anything. We plan on a single tier system, rims for mashing, and a burner for boil. With not HLT, we will have a small table area on our single tier stand for tools, and ingredients. Stand will be mostly 1.5x1.5...

    Brew Stand Design

My question is, what is the horizontal strength of the tube? I think the general consensus is 1/16 steel tube is strong enough.

Deep Six Brewing System - v3.0

Honestly they just look like big compressed gas tanks, I think I have seen a few on the side of the road in Dallas pumping nitrogen into telecommunication lines to keep moisture out. As far as cleaning them with nitrogen, I think they meant liquid nitrogen which would probably break any chemical...
