South Carolina SC midlands area brewers

Lots of good beers, meads and wines there. Not sure what I want to brew next, but I have some wlp029 that I should use sooner rather than later, I'm stuck between and alt or an oktoberfest. I could use a lager yeast for the oktoberfest but I've seen people having good results with the German ale...

I've been to airgas on shop road and they have always swapped out tanks. However I never had a new tank so I never cared or asked if they would refill, you'd probably have to call or ask unless someone else knows.

I've used Bru'n water too, I just find brewers friend to be a little better of an interface for me. Beersmith has water adjustment in it but it's not the best.

I use beersmith mainly because it was the first program I came across when I first started brewing. As far as what I wish it could do, well one would be to tell me not to drink too many homebrews on saturdays since it makes brewing on sunday morning a pain. But really the only thing I can...

    Too long fermentation

Without knowing the recipe/mash temp maybe try raising the temperature a degree or two if possible to help the yeast finish up.

    Too long fermentation

Have you checked the gravity to see where you are in the fermentation? Could just be CO2 off gassing and you're already at your final gravity.

Here's my latest, a pale ale I brewed about 2.5 weeks ago. It's all carbed up but could use a little more time in the keg to clear a bit more. Planning on brewing and altbier this weekend, just need to keg my kolsch to make room in my fermentation chamber. What's next up for y'all?

No pump here but that and a whirlpool arm are probably next up on my list of upgrades.

I have a 10 gallon cooler and I typically heat my strike water at least 10 degrees hotter than needed and empty into the tun and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then I'll open it up and stir it until it cools off to strike temp then add the grains. I typically lose a degree or two over an hour...

I go to the shop on two notch because it is closer to me. I think they had a bit better of a grain selection as well, but don't hold me to that since its been a couple years since I've been to Bet Mar.

I went to the one in Columbia last year, it was pretty fun. Never been to a beer festival before so I don't have anything to compare it to. There were some long lines but they all moved pretty quickly from what I remember, which reminds me I have to check and see if there are still any tickets...

I'm in Columbia between 2 notch and decker. Been brewing for around 3 years, brew a lot of different styles depending on what I feel like making. Currently have a munich dunkel and a pale ale on tap with a kolsh fermenting. DIY homebrew on 2 notch was doing monthly homebrew tastings on the last...

    Strong Bitter Common Room ESB

About 5 minutes from the 20 minute addition now. Smells great so far. Missed my mash temp ended up at 151 but I am still looking forward to this one [emoji481][emoji481] Edit: Came in at 1.058 for the OG currently waiting for the wort to cool down to pitching temps in the fermentation fridge...

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

This will be my first pale ale, I'm 5 minutes from the second hop addition. Mash temp was a little lower than the recipe states at 149 but it will still be beer and more than likely good beer thanks for the recipe Update: OG came in at 1.060 guess I didn't really know what my efficiency...

I need to go cheap on my mash tun

Couldn't hurt trying a SS screen, pretty cheap from the big home improvement stores. It is all I have used so far for all grain and have gotten up to 80% efficiency batch sparging.
