Is it possible to beef up the burner?

:D In all seriousness though - you should consider yourself lucky. I'm trying to do the same job on my wifes' electric cooktop .... that brings a new definition to the phrase inefficient. I swear my beard must grow at least an inch every time I brew. Does anyone make a large version...

    Favorite Brewing Music

Just my 50 pence worth about the whole skinhead thing. Being a skinhead has bugger all to do with racism ... sure there are a bunch of A$$hats that are out there who hijacked the genre ... the so called 'white supremists' ... However being a Brit myself ... and being that I was a skinhead...

    What's That Taste?

Perhaps the learned can help me out with this one. I'm a huge fan of St.Peters cream stout. There's a very distinctive taste in there that I originally thought was as a result of their water. The only thing I can come up with to describe the taste is 'medieval churches/beeswax candles' ...

    Secondary Fermentation in Bottler?

Thanks Guys :D I'll leave it festering away. One thing I did do was to pop the lid on the fermenting bucket .... it doesn't appear to have any foam on top now :( Is it possible that the yeast has stopped working? The temp is down to around 62. Is there any way to tell if I need to pitch...

    Secondary Fermentation in Bottler?

Hiya folks - I'm sure this has been asked before but the search function didn't yield anything to my search. Is it o.k. to transfer to the bottler and ferment a few more days before bottling? I was going to bottle this week ... but work has got in the way and I have to travel. Also there is...

Thanks folks - forgot to mention. I'm in Dover, NH. Been here for nearly 11 years now - maybe time to move to a different part of the state again ;)

    Sam Adams Ultimate Beer Glass

I'm a simple beer drinker ... nothing fru fru for me. I have two pewter tankards that I bought with me from the UK. One courtesy of Wadworths brewery in Wiltshire and the other a present .... these work fine for my drinking habit. And if they are in the wash ... well I've got a few pub mugs...

    Salutations from New Hampshire

Complete brewing n00b here. But I've started probably as I mean to go on ..... disastrously. I have a 5 gallon batch of imperial stout on the go at the moment (my first ever brew). What have I done wrong so far? Well I learnt that it's probably better not to brew when you're having a...
