Two and a half weeks ago I brewed my first batch, its a True Brew Porter kit. There was alot of activity in the airlock for the first two days....then it pretty much stopped. Yesterday it began to bubble a little bit again and now today its a pretty steady two bubbles a minute. Is this...

    C-Brite...is it safe?

I just used it as a sanitizer because a few little bags came with my true-brew kit. I have nothing good or bad to say, but I also am curious to what kind of replies you may get.

    Oxi Clean

Does the Oxi Clean you all use look like a powdered laundry detergent?? Or are there different kinds? I was at Home Depot today and almost bought it but wasn't sure if it was the right stuff...came in a box?? I am going to have to sanitize some bottles soon as my first batch is ready to be...

    Primary Fermenter Pail Question

Just curious, I am using a true brew white pail. My question is does it have to be kept in a dark place? Right know it is sitting on a table in the corner of my living room where I can keep an eye on it. Will this be O.K.??? Thanks:mug:

    Ruined first batch???

I sure hope so.....I am gonna keep my fingers crossed. I was wondering if the wort being to hot could kill the yeast? Thanks

    Ruined first batch???

I brewed my first batch today it is a Porter. Everything went well until the end. I was getting pressed for time and pitched yeast at about 95 degrees. I had to go out and was afraid to let the bucket just sit out cooling to long (contamination???) Does anyone think this stands a chance?? Thanks

    ice bath

The Salt will definetely work to chill the ice bath down! They even had an episode about salted ice water on MythBusters! They were trying to cool beer the quickest way possible, as far as I remember this was the quickest aside from a Co2 fire extinguisher.

    Moving primary or secondary?

Yeah I will just be real gentle carrying the primary upstairs then let it rest a bit. I cant really bottle or anything downstairs because the basement is finished and my wife would KILL me:mad:

    Moving primary or secondary?

I am just wondering about moving things around.....I will more than likely be moving my primary to the basement when I get my first batch going. I think I will have a more constant temp down there. Low to mid sixties. I am concerned about when I have to move it back upstairs to the kitchen for...
