Beer started fermenting again after I did a hydro sample???

So today is day 8 in the primary. I'm brewing a hefe and since my bubbling had came to a stop I would do a hydro sample to see if I'm done. I have never had any issues do samples on my last batch but this one I could not get a good accurate reading. Sometimes it would look like 1.020 and if I...

    Sunlight spoilage in primary bucket?

I didn't think it would hurt anything since it was in a bucket but the more and more I've been thinking about it the more concern I have grown. I know in a plastic or glass carboy it will ruin your beer but what about the primary bucket? I have been primary fermenting in the bucket for about 8...

    Sun/Light Spoilage

What about the primary fermenter? It's in that white container. Do UV rays go through that, because I have been fermenting in my primary in my kitchen for the last 8 days. It doesn't get direct sunlight but it definitely gets ambient light during the day.

    Hefe-Weizen advice please

I'll be brewing my Hefe Oat tomorrow. I have never steeped oats before. My brewmaster told me to steep at 160F for 30 minutes. Then you have to sparge. That's where I'm a little iffy about. Do I sparge into another container with water and is the temperature the same or different?

Question about brewing procedures for Hefe

That's exactly what I thought about doing. Steeping the oats and caramel in another pot and then adding it in at the end of the brewing process.

Question about brewing procedures for Hefe

I can't do it because it's the trial version. I have to buy the program to do that. :(

Question about brewing procedures for Hefe

I don't have a clue what you are talking about. My brewmaster put the oats and caramel together in a steeping bag. That's all I know at this point.

I have never cared for Budweiser.

I will say that I really enjoyed the Budweiser American Ale as well. It shocked me that it tasted as good as it did. I never expected a huge commercial beer like Budweiser to make something as crafty as they have.

Just enjoyed 1st brewed beer ever!!!

Like the title states I cracked open my first brew tonight. I did what everyone recommends, I drank one after a couple of days to get an idea of why its better to wait. I bottled the beers on Monday and today is Friday and that's a little over 5 days and the beer already tasted great. I didn't...
