    Blichmann BrewEasy

For water, I am just using Brewer's Friend and Bru'in water. I do not have a Ph meter.....I add as much salts as I can, but 5.5-5.6 is best I can do.

Thanks! Yes, beer should come out very nice, excited about it. Yes, I have the BE (10 gallon 240v), I've done 9 batches and I've hit mid 60s a couple of times, but today was a head scratcher. My process is solid, paying attention to volumes, etc... I thought I'd would have hit around 1.070...

Brew Day Question! Do I have enough cells?

Would up with 12 gallons of 1.044-1.046 delicious looking wort today. My efficiency is getting better! I have 1.5L starter on stir plate of Omega Double IPA (Conan) that's been going since Wednesday. Batch is in 2 different fer mentors (6.5 & 5.0). Do I just take my chances and split...

    Stripped Threads on March Pump?

Hi all- Planning a brew day on Saturday and I had taken my pump for BrewEasy off a few months back for some cleaning.....Went to assemble this evening, and I cannot get the quick disconnect or Blichmann connection back on. This is probably obvious, but: Would you agree the threads are...

I just brewed batch #6 and hit 59% brew house (I'm new to all grain)....Haven't dialed in water yet, I get stuck mashes as well using 1.25. Making great beer, efficiency just sucks.

    Help! No chiller water!

Wort, capped, and it's now sitting outside. Will let it chill, then pitch. Carboy #2 cracked on me. Was able to get another gallon or so into a 3 gallon carboy. Ugh. It's always something...lol

    Help! No chiller water!

My outdoor faucets seem to be frozen! No water for plate chiller. Got 10 gallons in the BK now. Heat off. What is my move here? Can I pump the 200 degree wort into glass carboy and let nature do it's thing? What temp is safe for glass?

Efficiency Issue: Poor Conversion or Too Much Loss?

New to all grain, have the Blichmann BrewEasy. I'm not all that familiar with calculating efficiency, and I do not expect very high efficiency with this system, I do know this: I need to do better. Use Brewer's Friend for my calcs...I am still tweaking the settings. I have been setting my...

I put 31lbs of grain into the tun on my 10 gallon BE today, and I was able to get about 7 gallons of 1.068 wort into fermentor. Target OG was 1.076. Started with 14.5 gallons of water. Pre boil gravity was 1.058. My efficiency has been between 40-49% for 5 batches. Where am I going...
