    It won't stop leaking...

I got SS flat washers inside and I think fender washers for the outside.I think it might be the OD of the O-rings.I still have the rubber piece. The white ring that goes on the outside broke (excessive tightening)

    It won't stop leaking...

I followed flyguy's guide (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/cheap-easy-10-gallon-rubbermaid-mlt-conversion-23008/) It leaks from the wall against the washers, and in between them.

American Pale Ale, my first creation

Typically darker extracts are regarded as of lesser quality than using light extracts+specialty grains. If you have the dark extracts, then by all means use them.Better than letting them spoil. Also, using sugar will dry out your beer and give you a sharp cider-like taste, but in small additions can...

American Pale Ale, my first creation

Try simplifying your recipe. Most pale ales consist of base malt+medium crystal and about 30 IBU's of American hops.Amber, munich extracts and Aromatic malt might be overkill.

    What is a hoppenweis?

I've only tried the Schneider one (no Brooklyn in CA)which although a bit pungent,is still quite good.I've read that Brooklyn uses 100% amarillo and is better.Either way,an interesting beer worth a purchase.
