Coleman 52 quart conversion to mash tun

From OBK I believe the options have changed since I ordered my parts. In my conversation with them at the time I stated that the cooler wall of my 52qt Coleman Xtreme was 3/4 inch and went with the option allowing between 5/8" and 1" which is now called "Thick Bulkhead" Over the past while I...

    help to chose new equipment

It can sometimes be in the panel as well on the breakers but if your house was built in Canada before 2008 you may not find GFCI in the kitchen as it was not a requirement before then.

    help to chose new equipment

It is my understanding that all of the US/Canadian Grainfather are 1600W at 120V putting them under your 15Amp limit. http://www.everwoodavebrewshop.com/product-p/ebs-grainfather-new.htm There are also other 120V electric systems from other vendors...

Ss Brewtech 15 gallon Electric Kettle Conversion

Did you find that the 2 inch is enough clearance for the element? I was looking at the same false bottom and have the same kettle but was not sure if I should go for the 3.5inch to be sure there was enough room down there.

    Spa breaker box

In Canada there are a number of online spa companies selling 30amp breaker box kits. This is the one I am looking for my setup. http://www.poolandhottubdepot.com/eaton-culter-hammer-30-amp-gfci-hot-tub-pool-spa-pack/ That price is in CDN. The breaker alone goes for around $180CDN so the kits...

    Sanke kegs for $30

I am very surprised that anyone would tell you that. The deposit for the keg is considered a rental and not returning it is stealing.

5500w Ripple Element Boiling Time, Seems To Be Taking Too Long

Are you running the element at 120V or 240V? Do you have any way to power the element directly to see if its a panel or element issue? Just want to eliminate some simple possibilities.

NEW EZboil unit with automated step mashing and boiling

Wow I was not aware of this new model that had support for step mashing. Looks like is just came out, website says: Date Added: Sunday 14 May, 2017 Reading over the directions the step mashing looks easy enough to setup but the encoding for when to trigger the relays looks crazy.

    Spruce tip beer hops

I brewed a 5 gallon IPA using only El Dorado/Spruce Tip pellets made as an experiment by a local hop producer Chilliwack Hop Farms and it is amazing! I have enough left for another 5 gallon batch and I will be brewing it right away, flavour is subtle yet unique enough to bring out a complex...
