I've thought about the touch screen, but I'm worried about the reliability of it. Something about basic controls I like. My dream is to someday open a nano brewery and the 25 gal system would be a great pilot brewing system. I like the frame design on the Down Under. They are going to modify...

I ordered 3 packs of this yeast. All the talk about it's low attenuation made me chicken out and I didn't end up using it.

That is a great idea, I was wondering how low the arm went. I bet Colorado Brewing could make up an additional arm for brewing small batches.

I'm hoping I won't have any issues brewing five gallon batches in the 25 gal kettle. Tim from Colorado Brewing doesn't think I'll have any problems. He said I may need to add a little extra water if brewing a really big beer and just boil a little longer.

I'm thinking of ordering the 25gal Nano-Brewer Down Under. Does anyone use an immersion chiller? Wondering if the heating element would get damaged. The website claims you should get 85% efficiency with these setups. Has anyone been able to get efficiencies that high?

Brewed a Porter and a Dark Mild that I usually use WLP-002 in, decided to try S-04 and both beers did not come out good at all. The S-04 made the beers dry, sharp, not smooth, and killed the malt flavor. I was hoping the London ESB would be a better alternative to WLP-002. I'll have to try it...

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try spraying the foam for now, but I'm going to get a scale for measuring grain so I could use it for filling the kegs as well.

Anyone have a good way of getting rid of Star San foam in your keg prior to filling it? I find that the foam completely hides the beer level in the keg and I can't tell when to stop filling. Not to mention the foam spilling out the top makes a mess.

Went ahead and brewed my first attempt at a Founder's All Day IPA clone. I attached the recipe to this post. We'll see how it comes out.

I've already ordered the relay so I guess I'll just use it. Nice to know that the relay in the Temp Controller can handle everything if I need to end up using it. Thanks for the response.
