    Going electric, heating element question.

Yes it would. You wont need the one on a controller, 3000W gives you a good rolling boil with out being overpowering.

    Transfer BeerSmith Files

On old computer highlight the folder or recipe you want to transfer, click on file, export as, then choose Beersmith file format. On new computer click on file, import and merge, locate file you created and you are good to go. As far as posting recipes just export as text file.

    Auber SYL-2352 setup question

Shorted out heater element. Disconnect wires from element and check for continuity between ground and each terminal.

    Auber SYL-2352 setup question

There is only one output on the ssr (T1). There is your low voltage side for switching (A1+ &A2-), your hot line in (L1), and your hot line out (T1). You should have 120V going to your heater and the other 120V line going to L1 on ssr. When pid switches ssr it will let the 120V go through L1...

    Auber SYL-2352 setup question

I am not sure why it is not setting "At" to 3 after it is complete. Go into your settings and set "At" to 3, this should disable auto-tuning.

    My electric brewery is functional!

That is the way it looked to me, that is why I questioned it. I just had a similiar problem. I was going to use my existing 3 prong range outlet to power my 240V system. When getting into it I figured out it only had 2 hots and a neutral. I put in a spa disconnect because the existing...

    My electric brewery is functional!

I couldn't quite tell by the picture if the outlets were gfci, good to know. I am a noob to electricity but have learned a lot over the last several weeks. I just would hate to see someone make a mistake that could potentially harm them.

    My electric brewery is functional!

I believe normally on older range's or dryers they would just bond the neutral to ground. I am just not sure it is such a good idea on a kettle full of water to have them bonded together.

    My electric brewery is functional!

Maybe I am missing something but is this picture the actual 240V dryer outlet? If it is, how does it have a ground? Normally a three prong outlet has no ground. Only two hots and a neutral. Are you using the neutral as a ground also?

Better to make small starter or none?

That is correct, I assumed a fresh pack of yeast.

Better to make small starter or none?

If your pitching from a WY smack pack or WL tube a 1L starter minimum, if its any less your better off pitching direct.

    GFCI Wiring

Looks correct. I just wired the same box (HomeDepot). Do not put ground to neutral, they are only tied together in you main panel.

    Oxiclean Residue

I dont believe you can get true TSP, it is all TSP substitute. I have been mixing oxyclean & TSP 50/50. Been working good so far.

Nuh uh, YOUR vacuum sealer sucks!

If you want to use mason jars or any type of glass jar with rubber lids I would recommend this Its cheap, very fast, and works great for jars. It is not the easiest if you want to use bags, it will work, but made more for jars. The only nice thing is you dont need special bags.

That was a very good guide for me. Thanks Pol

    Oxiclean Residue

It must have something to do with the minerals in your water. I have very hard water and if I let my items sit too long in Oxyclean I will get this residue. If I use RO water at the same concentration of cleaner and length of time it has no residue.

    GFCI Question

This is the way it is now. And everything is working good. Thanks
