    I love suprises

Got home from work today to find a 13 cu. ft chest freezer my fiancee bought me from Lowes. Fermentation chamber! exciting. I brewed a New castle clone on 12/29/2011. It started fermenting at 69F/70F. I know thats a bit high and may have produced some byproducts, do you think it will help to...

Tampa crew.. Anyone Interested in a BYOB night type thing?

The Pour house only serves craft brews, very relaxed atmosphere. Not your typical bar you can bring your dog inside, they have around 40 + craft brews on tap and also a large selection of different wines. Its within walking distance of my place so we go there with our dog to try out different brews.

    I'm going crazy!!!

The first two weeks were not as bad but the anticipation is killing me. I find myself checking my fermenter almost every 5 hours! My plan was to wait three weeks but I almost can't handle it anymore I'm going to pop off my airlock and poor unconditioned beer all over myself! I made another...

    Fluorescent light exposure

I didn't realize fluorescent light could have the same effect as sunlight on the fermenter. I have a fluorescent light in the kitchen, and it was shining on the top corner of my carboy for a few hours a day the past few days. The light source is about 25' away from my carboy and only hits...

    Wireless homebrew system no IP

Well, you could also implement Lantronix matchport for wireless networking if you wanted. It was just an idea I get bored and like to tinker. Plus I have all kinds of Xbee/matchport/Arduino products around

    Wireless homebrew system no IP

I searched the forums to see if it has been done but I have not seen anything. Has anyone made a homebrew system that can be controlled VIA Xbee communications? This way you don't need internet/router to control your system. And Xbee is very open sourced. Just wondering if anyone has notes...
