Interrupted in middle of brewing - did I mess it up?

It'll be fine, RDWHAHB. It might be a bit sour though, and it might be even more sour and even tanniny if you left the steeping grains in the wort overnight. At the end of the day, though, it won't kill you, it'll give you a buzz, and it'll be beer.

What I did for beer today

I drank a about a gallon of brew, and now I'm getting ready for a brew day tomorrow. Also, I fed my dog some spent grain dog treats!

    US-05 + nutrient = Celebration

That thing is a beast! Really nice work! :mug:

    Sour Kettle with Yogurt Culture

I sour in the mash, if I want a sour wort pre-boil; I've read, if I remember correctly, that its difficult to get yogurt cultures to respond in predictable ways. The lactobaccilus(sp*?) on the grain will produce a pretty predictable souring over a relitively short period of time. It won't be as...

    I want to grow hops!

Don't be discouraged, I have a buddy who grows several different types of hops in his backyard, and I live in the dfw metroplex. You should be able to rig something up with enough determination!

    All grain setup, downsized?

I do 1 gallon all grain batches in a 2 gallon cooler all the time, and I'm loving it. Its easy to get everything set up in the kitchen and it gets me some time in the house hanging out at the kitchen table. The only issue I have with it is that that beer goes too fast :ban: I have a keggle set...

    What is recycle number 7?

7 is the catch all recycler number. It means that the types of plastics in the bottle don't really fall under any other standard recycler code and it could be comprised of many different compounds. If possible try to avoid it because you wont know what is in the plastic; though many people use...

List of beers with swing-top bottles

Hoogstraten Poorter is great, but at thirteen bucks a bottle its hard to amass in vast quantities. The swing top bottle is coated in ceramic too, a fancy touch imo.

    Beer taste like hops

You might not want to write off boiling your wort just yet... its a pretty important step in the creation of beer.

"Guilty" confessions of a beer enthusiast

My deserted island beer would be rogue dead guy, but bud light is all right with me on a hot summer day. My guilty confession: I don't see anything wrong with bmc, but clear/green glass absolutely pisses me off, and I think that pilsner urquell is on par with corona. That said, I've had...

    Anheuser- Busch Homebrewers Group?

Well, I think this is pretty cool. I wish I was closer, because if I were, I'd definitely be attending.

    Head coloration, taste, and size

While drinking a bottle of Piraat I started thinking and noticed that while two beers might be in the same style according to the guidelines set by the BJCP, they might not have the same head characteristics. I quite enjoy large, white, foamy heads of on my beer, and I've seen it in almost...
