    For what it's worth I have a 9 gallon kettle as well and I do stove top brewing. Personally not will to take the chance on boil over and such on the stove. Therefore for now I use a picnic cooler with a bag for mashing. Pros - very stable temperatures, NO drainage problems whatsoever, no need...

    Hello fellow brewers. Here is two pictures of an all grain pumpkin ale with some "clouds" I have never seen before. Getting ready to bottle and this is what I saw. Wort looks black I know but it really isn't. It's a nice brown color. Thoughts?

    What do i have?

    Ok took a reading today and it showed 1.030. Still foaming and fizzing away. Out a tight lid with an air lock in it. Bubbling away nicely. Took a taste test. Sweet. Reminded me of apple juice
