    Adding flaked rice to ale kit....

    I was recently given a few brewing ingredients one of which is flaked rice,can i add that to an ale,and if so what can i expect from it and how would i add it..just don't want to see this stuff go to wate....thanks :tank: also im using extract kits

    ale question

    I brewed an aussie ale light and let it sit for 2 weeks in primary and 2 weeks in secondary,is that to long or will that give me a better beer...thanks :mug:

    light wieght no,problem with beer..thats what im trying to find out,its my first batch and i pitched the yeast while wort was over 80deg,i was told that it would be fine but it was in the bottle for 2 weeks and has an aftertaste and gave me a headache

    NO ONE WANTS GREEN BEER,but when your a new brewer and you think you beer may be ready and you try 2 of them(with off flavors) thats why only 2..you ask the question ..WILL green beer give you a HAEDACHE

    3 weeks between primary and secondary and a little over 2 weeks in bottle..not sure how much over 80 cause it wasnt reading on my stick on fermometor,i dont think it in the 90s though....i still cant believe i pitched the yeast that warm...to many beers while making my first beer i guess lol

    Midwest supplies Autumn amber ale, made 2 major mistakes 1 pitched yeast over 80 deg and 2 washed bottles in dishwasher with 2 caps of bleach,i let it run through part of the wash cycle and 2 rinse cycles plus 2 dry cycles..my beer has a bad aftertaste and woke up with a headache this morning,i...

    I tried onother one last night and it tasted just like tap room 21 amber ale so you guys are right its getting better

    I used 2 capfuls of bleach in dishwasher to sanatise my bottles hope thats not the problem,i let it go through 2 rinse cycles and 2 heat cycles
