    Secondary Fermentation With Fruit

    I did a pale ale and added grapefruit to the secondary. I used WLP051 at 68 F. I transferred to the secondary 4 days ago and have seen no activity other than the liquid in the airlock is pushed to one side. I expected a blowoff should I be concerned? The gravity was 1.030 and is now 1.020.

    Grapefruit

    I am working on a grapefruit Pale Ale where I want to get flavors from grapefruit as well as the hops. I am curious as to the best way to add the grapefruit is. I was thinking of adding the zest to the boil and then fruit into the secondary but I don't know how much to add.

    Carboy Question

    I am going to start two stage fermentation. My question is can I use a 6.5gal carboy for the second stage instead of a 5gal?
