Can You Brew It recipe for Deschutes Obsidian Stout

I see a lot of ppl are brewing this with black patent when the original post says black barley. I'm pretty sure these are not the same. Black barley is unmalted. Where black patent is malted barley. Am i missing something from the original post.

    Homemade PBW Recipe

Does it rinse as well as PBW? The only reason I've never used oxi clean is all the rinsing it took. I have hard water so maybe that was the prob. PBW rinses easy though 2 rinses and it good to go.

Just bought a 72 qt cooler for 10 gallon batches. Wondering why you mentioned the cooler size and if it had anything to do with it.

Firestone Walker Wookey Jack Clone Attempt

What do you think was the cause of your stuck sparge. Not a lot of wheat in the recipe. Over crushed grains? I'm just curious. Sucks when brew day goes wrong. I use rice hulls for all my beers. It's just cheap insurance. Plus I mill my grain a little finer than I should.

    Buffalo NY group buy?

I go the more beer route also. $37 for a 50lb sack plus $15 to ship. Comes out to $1.04 a lb. But I'd be in for a group buy if the price is right. Would like to get a sack of munich cheaper than morebeer sells it for.
