    I almost exclusively use late addition hops + hopstand for IPAs now. My standard hop schedule is usually: 5 min 0 min -30 min I'll hop stand/whirlpool for about an hour and not let the temps go below 170F.

    You can check for conversion many ways. Th easiest is probably just tasting the wort. If it taste's sweet, you have had at least some conversion. You could also do an iodine test to test for conversion but again it wont give you any indication of the actually efficiency. The best method is...

    Primary is done, rack to secondary or just dry hop in the primary?

    I've completely stopped doing secondaries whether dry hopping or not. Haven't noticed any difference in the taste of my beers.

    properly cleaning corny kegs

    I built a cleaner with a cheap harbor freight submersible pump and a few ball lock disconnects. This way I can shoot pbw up through the out and gas tubes at the same time. I run PBW for 5 mins and then star san for about 30 seconds. Comes in very handy when cleaning more than a few kegs...

    Azacca hops

    Azacca has become one of my favorite hops. I first used it when trying to figure out how to clone Victory Hop Ranch but I've used it a bunch since then. It was gone for awhile until this years harvest and I stocked up on 5lb. The mango notes are what keeps me coming back to this hop.

    Brew-Boss Kickstarter Launched

    I own the current version of the Brew Boss and can vouch its a great system. The COFI filter looks awesome.... might just be time to upgrade ;) I wish I didn't like shiny new things so much.... Best of luck!

    Need help developing a Scottish Ale recipe...
