I'll be at Dixie end of the month so looking forward to trying what they have.

Anyone want to take a crack at a Parish Ghost in the Machine clone?

I prefer Holy Roller vs Juicifer. I still drink both when i can find it on tap.

    Electric vs. propane

A 110v will bring 7 gal to a rolling boil with no issues. Note that some 110v systems have a 1650 watt element and some have a 2200 watt. I would definitely go with the 2200 watt system unless you plan on getting a heat stick to assist. I moved to electric (High Gravity 110v, 2200 w boil coil...

Or even Voodoo by Tin Roof, which is also very good.

    Uninspiring IPAs

Are you cold crashing during the dry hop period? Are you throwing your hops in loose or in a bag?

Anyone want to take a crack at a Parish Ghost in the Machine clone?

There is a recipe in one of the Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine for Acadiana Haze. It's a recipe by Parish Brewing. Taste wise it's nothing like Ghost as the hops used is not Citra but the color and taste is good. Might be a good base to start with and just go with all Citra hops. I'm pretty...

Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

I agree with the above. I didnt much care for it out the gate but now that it's been on gas for two weeks it's pretty damn good. Next time I brew will have to make a few changes, mailing with hops and an adjustment to the grain bill.

Anyone want to take a crack at a Parish Ghost in the Machine clone?

I think the biggest thing they do is water chemistry. I doubt they use any boil hops. I would think all hops go in a WP then massive DH additions. As for as malt, I would not be surprised if some of their grain bill is Pilsner. I have to assume there is alot of flaked wheat and some oats...

Anyone want to take a crack at a Parish Ghost in the Machine clone?

I also wanted to add since Parish started mass producing this beer, the grocery stores have a hard time selling it. it's sits on the shelf for months. I've seen 4 packs that were 6+ months old. It's not as sought after as when there were limited quantities. Just about every brewery in Louisiana...

Anyone want to take a crack at a Parish Ghost in the Machine clone?

I just have a hard time paying that. Anyway, I actually had one Saturday. I dont know what it is but it taste different than the last one I tried (6+ months ago). The one I had Saturday was on tap. It's was pretty damn good vs the one I previously had. Not sure what they changed but it was much...

American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

What's wrong with it? Should be drinkable after being carbed.

    Slow leaks from Corny Kegs

I've had issues with the o-ring on the liquid post. For some reason, when tightening down the post the o-ring gets cut, either by the threads of the keg post or the dip tube. Wherever there is an o-ring lube it up. You can also get over-sized lid o-rings from Williams Brewing. Those work really...

Saison - pellicle or yeast rafts?

I agree. Everyone doesn't have the ability to focus on low oxygen brewing, and I am one. I do try and prevent as much exposure as I can, such as purging my keg and doing closed transfer but oxygen still gets in when I dry hop. I use a SSBT brew bucket so there is really no way of preventing...
