    VPN'S & Internet Security

I decided against using a VPN. At the time I posted this thread wasn't sure if a VPN was something I needed.

    Clawhammer Supply BIAB

I have a High Gravity 120v with a 2200 watt boil coil element. I start with 7.25-7.5 gal mash water and it takes 1 hr to get to mash Temps. Depending on your water temp it could take less or more time but for me 1 hr is the norm. Clawhammer uses a 1600 watt element i believe so it will take...

    Covid 2020 brewday from hell

I'm guessing you're in AK somewhere. At least that's what appears when entering your GPS coordinates. If that's accurate stay safe.

I like those garage screens. Never thought about going that route. Thanks for the link.

    Covid 2020 brewday from hell

I usually have a few files when I brew but never like I saw friday. I guess it was the combo of smoke and beer that drew those lil bastards in. Next brew day I'll be closing my garage doors to try and prevent them. One thing Covid 19 has allowed is I am a able to work from home and I can now...

    Covid 2020 brewday from hell

I can close the doors. In the winter it's fine but summer not so much. It wasn't too bad yesterday so guess I should have closed up the doors. What in really need is a couple window units to cool down my garage when I brew in the summer. My goal is for a man cave but that's on the back burner...

    Covid 2020 brewday from hell

Yeah this crap will never end if people don't follow the rules/suggestions. Louisiana has been seeing signficant increases every day.

    Covid 2020 brewday from hell

Yep. I used to make my own but been using Big Ron's bbq rub. Get it online from his page. Good stuff. For this one I rubbed with mustard and hot sauce then zatarains seasoning. Wanted something a little different. Turned out great.

Beer Scale or whatever you call it

After brew day I did a hot water soak with PBW at 165 for 20min. I usually use Oxy but today I used PBW. This did the trick. All the beer scale came off. Have a couple spots I still need to clean but it looks good.

    Covid 2020 brewday from hell

    Covid 2020 brewday from hell

This is more of a rant than anything else. I'm now working from home, 4 hrs on friday. This is a good thing. Decided to brew a session IPA bc that's what my wife likes to drink and honestly I don't mind them either. I also figured I would smoke a pork butt since my smoker is basically set and...

    Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Recipe

water chemistry is important. I find SNPA is on the hoppy side so more gypsum than CI. Hop wise SN is doing something to extract the flavor/aroma. Could be their process or the actual hops they use. Anyway the clones I've made were all good but no where close. It's funny how some who brew this...

Solutions to always have a beer on tap?

This is how I built my keezer. Been using it for 2+ years now. I do want to refinish the collar at some point but the build itself is great plus no glue.
