BlowTie spunding valve help needed, please

i have updated to the new one's with gauge. I have 4 of them, so I will have to take each one apart to test for a leak at the gauge. I had a total of 4 of the older style that broke at the part that you change the pressure. The entire part that comes up broke off!

BlowTie spunding valve help needed, please

Well, I am hoping the inline regulators have been fixed, it is a slightly different style compared to the original. I am also hopeful that the fittings are better. I have not given up yet!

BlowTie spunding valve help needed, please

I had the original iteration as well and have had 4 of the inline regulators break at the raised area that you screw adjust the pressure. I had two break, then both replacements broke. That lead me to believe that they do not like to be left almost wide open as the one's that broke were for my...

BlowTie spunding valve help needed, please

Received word from Williams Brewing, they stated it should be fine to submerge the gauge and also stated that if it does not work after submerging that they would replace it. They also stated that if the gauge does leak to pull it out and put some keg lube on the o-ring for the gauge. So...

BlowTie spunding valve help needed, please

I just sent an e-mail asking to Williams Brewing where I purchased from to see if the entire item with the gauge can be submerged in water to determine where the leak is coming from.

BlowTie spunding valve help needed, please

I have had the keg sitting on pressure for over a week and tested with the old gauge, no change. Like others have stated, do not want to submerge gauge as I do not know if that will cause an issue. I have had duotight fittings for a while and I know to ensure the tubing is in tight, takes more...

BlowTie spunding valve help needed, please

Did two tests, one with valve set to a point well above the 10 PSI in the keg and one with the valve completely closed. Both cases all pressure was lost in the keg. So it looks like the new one with the gauge has a leaking issue!

BlowTie spunding valve help needed, please

I have the old version and have not had any issues. I just got the new version and the new inline regulators as well. I have the new blowtie sitting on an empty keg with 10 PSI, will let you know how it goes!

    Giveaway for Lerway Heating Pad!

I would love to test out a new heating pad. I only have one currently, and have to wrap a blanket around other fermenters to help transfer some of the heat to them. Been doing a lot of sours and also using kveik, so I have been applying heat to everything lately as I ferment in my basement...

Financials of Kegging- Am I Missing Something??

I have not had an issue with kegs going bad, generally have a keg for 3 to 6 months before it is finished. I started right away with doing closed transfers, so maybe that has helped.

Financials of Kegging- Am I Missing Something??

I bottled for years in the bliss of not knowing any better. Now that I finally took the dive and went all in with a 7 cubic foot chest freezer, built the collar, 4 taps, dual regulator, mfl pieces, 4 way gas spliter, duotight tubing and fittings and in-line regulators, probably around $800 and...

    Apricot Sour Help

I forgot to mention that when I did my kettle sours, I did it in the summer as I brew in my garage and on it stays around 70 - 80 when it is warmer in Michigan, so I did not have to worry about keeping the kettle warm.

    Apricot Sour Help

I would worry about adding O2 into the beer due to the circulation. Just having some movement of wort is going to help introduce O2. From what I have read, O2 during the kettle sour process can add off flavors \ aromas that you do not want, like vomit. I have only done two kettle sours, and...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Already sent an e-mail, but thought I would ask here as well. Anyone have an issue where all of a sudden BruControl states it is not licensed? When trying to activate it thinks it is installed on multiple computers, however it is the same laptop that I have always used and has not been re-imaged.

    Doutight regulators

Williams or MoreBeer will probably have them before enough people are gathered and order makes it through Customs.
