I know that sunlight/UV is a big no-no for beer, but is it also bad for wort? I was brewing the other day in direct sunlight and thought about the possible effects it could have. So, is sunlight bad for wort, or am I alright to keep brewin’ in the warm winter sun?

This sample was pulled from an outside spigot, but if I were to use this for brewing I would use my filtered water which should take care of the chlorine. Is there any way to remove alkalinity from water aside from dilution?

I was thinking about floating dip tubes, but I do a keg-purging fermentation (keg filled with StarSan and pushed out with fermentation CO2) and I feel like there's a chance the dip-tube doesn't fall to the bottom and push out all the sanitizer. Do you ever have issues with your floating dip tubes?
