    A hop too far

You might be able to skip the bittering additions of hops in favor of more late additions (maybe at 20 and 10 minutes). It all depends on the bitter to flavor/aroma you're going for.

    One barrel system

I can't wait to see the brew day results. Thanks for posting this amazing setup!

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Today was a double brew day. I brewed 6 1/2 gallons of a RR supplication clone and 6 gallons of Orange American Wheat. Both went well. Good day.

    contamination risk

I usually wait 2 to 4 weeks depending on what kind of yeast I'm using.

    Taking hydrometer readings from fermenter

I usually just use a visual inspection with hydrometer readings at the start and finish (while bottling). Typically 2 -3 weeks with an ale yeast is plenty of time to see all stages of fermentation. Little to no airlock activity and no krausen after a few weeks is a good sign that fermentation...

    Heady Topper

I had Heady out of the can each time. That might explain some of the differences in sweetness that I noticed. Anyways, please post how the hop rocket affects the flavor and aroma of the beer. Since I'm subscribed to this thread and might be purchasing a hop rocket in the near future...

    bouban oak chips

I usually add 1/2 oz to 1 oz of oak chips per 5 gallons to ~ 1 pint of bourbon. A typical soak time for me is 1 week minimum up to 1 month. Then I bag the oak chips and add it all to the fermentor for another month or so of aging.

    Floating Drop Hops

I usually add hops to my secondary fermentor first, then rack on top. Most of the time they mix in well. If not, I just lightly rock the fermentor to mix it up.

    Late hops

Lately, I have only added hops 30 minutes and in for the last 3 batches of IPA. Most of the time it's about 6- 8 oz of hops. IMO keeps the bitterness down and the flavor and aroma high. I will probably continue to hop my IPAs like this until hop prices go up or I find a better way to add hop...

    Most brewed styles

Lately I keep brewing these: IPA, Imperial Stout, and Witbier. Usually in that order.

    Heady Topper

I've had heady topper a few times over the past year. Courtesy of a few friends who like to trade beer (NC here, so no normal distribution). The first time I tried HT I was blown away with the hop flavor and aroma combined with what tastes like a low IBU (for a IIPA). But, by the 3rd time...

Supplication dregs and WLP655 Sour Blend Starter

I'm curious to know the answer to his question also. As I'm about to make a supplication clone next weekend.

Easy label removal on what beers?

Highlands Brewery uses a plastic like label that easily pulls away with no soaking required. Not sure if Highlands Brewery distributes to your area though.

    What are you drinking now?

Asheville Brewing Company Rocket Girl Lager. It went well with grilling out tonight.
