Update on my batch - The RAPT Pill slowwwwwwly crawled down to a reading of 1.017/1.018 FG and has been pretty steady there. Glad I didn't crash early. Going to give it another day or two and hope to have it in a keg and tapped by this weekend. Still sitting at 20psi and 72ºF. Samples taste...

I use hulls in almost every batch I brew, regardless of style. It just results in an easier re-circulation and drain for my AIO system.

Update on my Citra Session kit : Put it all together Saturday evening. I fermented this in a 6 gallon Torpedo MegaMouth keg that I modified the lid for (added a thermowell and a 2" triclamp ferrule). This 'extract' certainly does go in as a big lump lol. I went against the advice slightly and...

I've dealt with it in the past as well. I'd rather have a more underwhelming and different saison yeast profile (relatively speaking) than have to deal with that.

Still have 3 packs of this that I'm waiting to use. Interested in getting something in the saison realm, but really want to avoid dipping back into diastaticus strains.

Thanks for the updates! Just ordered up the Citra Session kit to give it a try for myself. It will work perfectly to fill the gap between batches for me when I can't spend 5-6 hours brewing.

Used this setup for the past 8 years or so. Purchased new from BeverageFactory back on 03/04/2016, and it's been in both of my keezers. Always worked flawlessly for me. Comes with outlet barbs on both ends. If you do not want to pass-through just replace with an NPT plug on one end. Asking $150.

For Omega, it protects them if these kits go south (NOT saying they will!) and people blaming their yeast. For MoreBeer it gives them the appearance of a proprietary product that can't be duplicated.

If I had to make a bet, I'd say the yeast is Lutra and it's being repackaged under agreement with Omega not to disclose it.
