    Confused about re-using yeast

Washing the yeast will get rid of some/most/all of the trub that way you can use the yeast for a different recipe and not have to worry about mixing up the flavor profile. (At least that is my noobish understanding.)

    Thinking about All Grain

Your going to need a MLT. There are some great resources on the forum to make either one either out of a cooler or converted keg. Also a HLT or something else to keep the strike/sparge water in.

Tax Time for a small winery

Yes they can get a bookkeeper to do the JE's and bank rec's for them. Usually the bookkeeper is an EA and can file the taxes for them. They can also do payroll, sales tax and other required filings, once they get to that point. Word of mouth is the best way to find a professional they can...

Tax Time for a small winery

Tax CPA here. You really should find a full time tax preparer. Don't need to be a CPA, but at least an enrolled agent (EA). I used to work at a CPA firm in the Chicago area so if you want a recomendation send me a PM. Anybody can prepare a return. What you need to look for is someone to...

Tubing to use for wort chiller?

It's an immersion chiller. I made sure the connections are well outside so that if there is any leak it wont fall into the kettle.

Tubing to use for wort chiller?

I just picked up a washing machine hose at the hardware store. It's threaded so it fits a garden hose for the input. I cut it off the other coupling for the outflow. Works great.

Saved yeast slurry from last batch a month ago. Is it ok?

Makes sense. I just washed some a few weeks ago. Primarly becasue it looked fun and wanted to see if I could. Plus it will give me another reason to play with my DIY stir plate when making the starter. Given how easy it was and that it can be used for a different style I'll probably keep...
