That sounds perfect to me. But, to cool it down more when you're using a pump, you can either slow the flow from the pump and/or hookup an immersion chiller to use as a pre-chiller for your tap water. Run the tap water through the immersion chiller that is sitting in a bucket of ice water...

I plan to brew an Imperial IPA tomorrow. Here's a link to the recipe. http://beersmithrecipes.com/viewrecipe/11363/imperial-ipa I want to use Citra, Amarillo & Simcoe in the brew. However, I've never used Citra or Simcoe, so I don't know how much or when to add them. I just took a guess...

I have had to turn my flame down real low during the boil so I don't have as much boil off.

Have a checklist for brew day and check off each step as you go. Also, don't drink until flame out. You'd be surprised how much that helped my brewing once I adhered to that.

I see another strong Belgian brew in my future! :ban:

This thread caught my eye. I lived on Spring Meadow Drive in Ellicott City (Dunloggin) when I was in Kindergarten! Didn't know what beer was then. LOL!

Great idea! Why didn't I think of that? :cross: Actually, my fermentation chamber is doing pretty well. I'm using 2" foam insulation board and am sure my chamber is better insulated than the dorm fridge I have it connected to. But, I wasn't sure how to check for leaks around the doors...
