    Stupid Joke Thread!

I did that once and she was very salty! Even though the makeup loving was full of zest I learned to leave it be. Sage advice.

25 liter pressure rated SS vessel with internal mash stirrer?

yeah, just having a little fun. I would note that the OP's image is an air-driven motor, you need compressed air/gas to operate it... and you would want very clean compressed air if using for any mead/wine degas adventures (EDIT: any cold-side brewing practice).

I just brewed my first ale!

just the off-flavor from chlorine, I still drank it as it was not terrible (and it was my first batch!).. but on the journey to improve I learned that this contributes to chlorophenol and should be removed.

I just brewed my first ale!

Welcome! I think I even sanitized my dog on the first brew kit.... then proceeded to run chlorinated tap water into my extract brew to top it up. Mistakes will be made along the way, keep learning!

    Vacuum sealer

1 foodsaver bought in 95 lasted until about 5-7 years ago. 2 inkbird models since then, both with minor issues which could be attributed to user fault (may have got a very little bit of liquid sucked thru) Still good pricing for Inkbird, I might make a frankenbird with the ones I have.

Tips on separating dead yeast from fresh ?

Somewhat Off Topic, has anyone seen McMullan? Smart dude who could break this down intelligently, I always appreciated his yeast health input. They are saying that you have dead + alive in both the sediment and in suspension. Since you cannot mechanically separate (filter) dead yeast from live...

Tips on separating dead yeast from fresh ?

Body Yeast Collector maybe? Jokes aside, I am in the "dilute to oblivion" camp by using a baby starter and stepping up. Sure, some dead yeast provide nutrients but there will be flavors there too. Autolysis gives off protein and lipids, both of which have flavor which may or may not be desired.

    What are you drinking now?

Last bottle, split with the wife! We brought it home from a visit to Rothenburg, brewed in Fürstlich-Drehna castle brewery... very tasty when served nice and cold. I'm going to miss this one! Honey is prevalent, residual sweetness can be a tad much once it warms up.

    NB - still working?

I did not realize NB and companies were handed off yet again, I guess when you have your best year the iron is hot for selling. $34M in 2023 revenue seems high to me. J&P is owned by Western Capital Resources who I will not be supporting (Consumer Finance Div. is a predator). Taken directly...

    Pinball Kegerator DIY inspiration

Surprised OP is/was not on HBT, maybe they were the builder and had a friend who brews. Old pinball machine torn down and rebuilt to a Brewing Theme; Coding, electrical, metalwork, woodwork, artwork... and Homebrew! I have two machines from Spain sitting in my garage, cabinets are too far...
