    Conical to keg transfer video

Nice video and idea. Thanks for posting. I have the 7 gallon of the same SS Chronical. I also have recently adapted the "no oxygen transfer" and "keg to keg" transfers. However, I do not have a tri-clove for my lid on the chronical. I need to get one, can you post some details on your...

    Ferm. Question

Pulled off another pint last night; same glass as pictured. Looks the same but the taste is very harsh. It hasn't really smoothed out like I had hoped. The Citra nose is there, not as I would have preferred, but it's there. I don't know that the sluggish yeast was the issue or if it was my...

    Recipe Assitance

Thank you much for the contribution. I do have all that in my "stock" except I only have 4 ounces of Mosaic. I could have the 5th ounce by the time I need to dry hop though. - Side note: Not sure what a Donkey Trophy is...but it sounds cool :) And what was your yeast choice? Starter?

    Recipe Assitance

Good question. I have 2 Row, 6 Row, Vienna, Pilsen, Crystal 20, 40, 80, 120, Maris Otter, Acidulated, Carapils....the list goes on. I have alot of the base grains and some adjuncts. I also have some dark malts...but those don't apply here. :) My LHBS is running a weekend special today and...

    Recipe Assitance

Looking for some help here; I want to make an AIPA but it needs to be within style guidelines. Something out of the park, home run, off the charts good type stuff. I have been looking through multiple recipes here and there....honestly, it's just a bit much. I have never really made good...

Igloo 7.1 cu ft red oak keezer build

Pieceman; it really does look very classy. Are you going to seal the hole (originally for the Co2 line to go outside) or plug it and then seal? My two cents; having done the Co2 both ways, I would without doubt put it outside the keezer. It just seems that in my experience it lasts longer...

Igloo 7.1 cu ft red oak keezer build

Looks awesome! How did you mount the triple regulator to the collar? Also, what is the purpose of the hole behind the center regulator? I thought maybe for the Co2 line to run in from the outside, but your pic shows it connected and inside with the other lines. And how thick is your...

    Strawberry blonde ale

As one who has had a Strawberry beer before, a wheat, i advise on filtering! The seeds are smaller than you think and will make their way to every glass/bottle. As someone who makes a Cherry Wheat, I put my cherries in the end of boil and pasteurize for 20 minutes at around 170 and throw...

    Ferm. Question

I kegged the aforementioned brew a few days ago. Suspense got the best of me tonight. SO, thought I would post a pic of the final result. It still needs to "age" a week or so to be a true judge, but the Citra nose is definitely there. Thanks everyone.

    Ferm. Question

Still chugging away at almost 1 burp in my blowoff every second or so. I raised the temp to 66 just a while ago. Still no signs of slowing down...a relief from the original post, but now i wish it was done....oh well, life of a homebrewer i guess. More to come.....

    Ferm. Question

One last update until it's done, then I may post a picture for you all. At present, I am now hearing pops from the overflow bottle slightly better than once per second!! I noticed it last night, and smiled accordingly. I do have concern though that it may have a bit of autolysis from the lag...

    Ferm. Question

Thanks everyone for the input. Much appreciated. I knew if i posted here someone would help out...that's just the kind of group this is. That said, I THINK things are going to be OK, and i use that OK very sparingly. Yes I realize that Yeast, by nature, will eat and there are plenty of...

    Ferm. Question

Hello gang, Cut to the chase here. Sunday afternoon I brewed a Citra Pale Ale, came in at 1.057 (should have been 1.060). I ended up with 6.15(ish) gallons in my SS Brewtech Chronical. Lowered temp to 64 degrees and I pitched two dry yeast sachets of Mangrove Jack M44 (never used it...

Turning off CO2 Once Keg Is Empty

Welcome beerman1000. You will find lots of help on this site. I don't fully understand your question. But, if you have gas distribution (splitter) setup with valves for each line then yes, feel free to turn off the gas to the spent keg, have a moment of silence and start thinking of your next...
