I'm never %&!@#$ing around with fruit in secondary again

It's been a while since I tried a fruit flavoring. Was never pleased with them. They taste fake.

    First attempt at a gose

I've only done a one gallon batch to see how it gose. I used sea salt, coriander, acid malt, a safale US06 yeast. This gave me that salty somewhat sour taste. The coriander went well with it. I don't think I wrote down any quantities.

Glass or plastic? does it really matter?

You want a plastic boil kettle. So much cheaper and lighter. Especially with 30+ pounds of strike water or wort in it. Butt cerealy. I've both glass and plastic fermenters. Glass will last forever or until you break it. Plastic will last for years so long as you don't clean it with a wire...

What is your homebrew to commercial brew consumption ratio?

Commercial beer? You mean research material.

What is your homebrew to commercial brew consumption ratio?

Stop drinking aftershave! I need to go through my hb hoard. There's some meads in there ready to drink. A few bottles of this and that which should be drank. Got a stout in ferment now.

Brew it! Rehydrate that yeast beforehand and have a fresh pack ready just in case.

    Transplanting Rhizomes

Yes. That is what I'd do, with some nose holes so it could breathe. Don't want a bear waking up free range in the seat next to me.

Cleaning and reattaching collection ball on Fast Ferment

I too have a FastFerment. Just yesterday I had to work the ball valve back and forth to clear it so the trub would flow to the bowl. I had not left it open during the initial ferment figuring I wanted to ferment on everything and with everything in the main vessel. In previous brews, I've had...

    Anchor Brewing

I like Pabst. Just because some dirty hipsters have tried to subvert it to their ill ways doesn't mean it's suddenly a bad beer. But when your brewery depends entirely on another brewery brewing your brew- that's a failure in the making.

    How to avoid a BMC-lite

Just show up already plastered on your choice of beverage. Be so drunk that no one will offer you a beer. That's triple winning.

    Comet Hopsi

Something snipped off Hops 1 at the ground. Since I didn't trim any this being the first year for these, the largest secondary bine has taken over the lead nicely.

    Transplanting Rhizomes

Midwest says they can be stored in a damp baggie in the fridge for a few months. I'd put a paper towel in with them and change it regularly to avoid mold. I've received hop rhizomes four times. Three in damp baggies. Two grew. One had mold and did not. My first ever was mostly dried out in a...
