Newby brew rig build with Coleman 70q tun

Well, like most of you I've been bitten. I love to build things and I love to cook so brewing is only natural. Only brewed two batches on my own. One extract one biab and one full blown three tier scotch ale all grain with a club member. That got me going. So my plan is stand that will hold the...

Do you have any ideas for local, collaborative homebrew project beers??

My club just did a barrel of scotch ale. We all did about 10 gallons each. It's fermenting now then well age it for a month or so. Most did it in two people batches. So if two of you do it just split it and so on so forth. Gets pretty cheap that way. My 5 gallons was $20.

First sip of my first brew!

I've never used mr beer but did you make simple syrup and add the beer to it then bottle or just put sugar in the bottles? Did the the bottle "pop" when you opened it? Also don't shake it up leave the stuff at the botom of the bottle. Im thinking it's just flat. You may need to try some fizzy...

How long did you bottle condition at room temp before refrigerating it? Did you use sugar and water or fizzy drops?

Newby here, Best beer brewing kit to get started

Definately start with a 1 gallon kit. I've been brewing since Christmas when my wife got me a craft-a-brew starter kit. And just did my first BIAB 1 gallon. Easy to clean and store. It will be an extract kit. They are super easy and make good beer. Like the above says. Look at norther brewer...

What food with what BEER - or not?

I like an ice cold pils or kolsch with a med rare steak and potatoes. Pretty German dinner now that I say it out loud, IPA with BBQ chicken red wine with pasta. I have no kind of pallet. I like food way over seasoned and spicey.

    Sparging for BIAB

I just did my first biab all grain. 1 gallon. I did a rinse sparge. I put the bag over the pot on a cooling grate and rinse with 160 deg F water. I don't have a hydrometer yet but the last of the water I poured over came out clear. I'll do it this way for a while if my beer turned out good
