    transporting beer in keg

    So I want to get some beer back to school with me. I've brewed it and it's in secondary right now. I've got a 14 hour drive. Is it possible to put it in a keg with a little gas and it will be fine once I get it in the keezer under the right psi?

    How vital is it to have a ball valve on a brew kettle? I am thinking about getting a 10gallon kettle to start AG brewing in. It is obviously way more expensive to get a kettle with a valve and if I can save the money it would be great. To ball valve or not to ball valve... that is the question.

    Clarity

    Hops into carboy

    So recently I have been having a lot of my hop pellets from the boil go into my carboys when I begin primary fermentation. I notice a lot of hops settling out into the bottom of the carboy along with the yeast. Is this bad?

    So I am going to get myself a Christmas present and step up to all grain. Ive decided on a cooler mash tun and a new stainless kettle. I want to do anywhere from 5-10 gallon batches but most likely 5 and 7 gallon batches. I like brewing big beers. What size mash tun and brew kettle do I need?

    Should I bottle this or dump it?

    If it tastes good, which I bet it will, you can just use the fact it sat around for a while as a way to impress your friends. "This is my aged chocolate coffee stout... been aging for oooooh about 8 months now.:D)

    applying my first labels to bottles

    I use some paper from my LHBS that has a tiger on the front. Pre-gummed paper. I like to brew my recipes several times over to make sure I have it down pat so having pre labeled bottled helps a bunch!
