    OMG Please Help Noawh!!!

Absolutely people do small batches all the time. Use a recipe calculator to help you out and you'll be able to use the equipment you already have (it just won't be as full).

Enough space to not need a blowoff?

I've heard about Fermcap, obviously you don't notice anything bad that it's contributing to your beer if you always use it, right?

Enough space to not need a blowoff?

How long should a blowoff tube be left on a primary?

Enough space to not need a blowoff?

You're probably right, can't hurt. Do most people use tubing attached to a stopper, or tubing that fits snugly inside the opening of the carboy?

I found a Mr. Beer keg. Can I lager in it?

Just add the full pack of yeast..it cost a whopping $2 right? Extra yeast won't hurt unless you're planning on culturing.

    How long is primary?

Usually about a week to a week and a half for me. That being said, you always trust your hydrometer, not the elapsed time. Take a sample and measure the SG, if it's within your target range then you're good to go.

    Hi from Nebraska

Hey guys. Just got into brewing recently and like many I'm getting addicted quickly. :ban: I know there's a couple other Nebraskans/Omahans on here, so shout out to you guys. I'm a day or two away from bottling my first batch, a 5-gallon porter, which has had a little bit of temp fluctuation...
