Good deal. Looks weird. They are floating around, dancing. Never saw it before as I'm rather new to brewing.

    Batch Sparge Pot Size

Would dumping the wort into the kettle after collection do anything adverse?

    How are my water amounts?

No. .25 Gallons is 32oz. There are 16 oz in a pint. At 0.19 gallons you were still using 24+oz per gallon.

    First All Grain Sparging Questions

No. You really can't top off like that will all grain. Unlike extract where you have all the sugars condensed in your pot, if you don't collect the sugars from the tun then all you're doing by adding water post boil is lowering your gravity.

    Whirlpooling without a pump

Just bought a 10 Gallon kettle and picked up the side pick-up/whirlpool tube from bargainfittings. Is 10 or so turns with a paddle after cooling enough to create a decent cone. Would like advice before I clog the tube and stab myself in the eye! :rockin:

How to aerate an AG batch in Carboy

Ok. My 10 gal pot has a SS ball valve. May just make a shorter tube and the drain into my funnel. How long does one of those disposable O2 cylinders last that are compatible with the northern brewer O2 regulator? http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/oxygenation-kit.html

How to aerate an AG batch in Carboy

I will give it a read when I get to a real computer. I am a bit surprised to hear that people shake 5 gallons of wort in carboys. Isn't that...... Dangerous? Thank you for the reply!

How to aerate an AG batch in Carboy

Looking to do my first all grain batch soon. Wondering the best way to aerate the wort post boil if I'm fermenting in a carboy. I have read that people shake the carboy for 5 minutes.... I am assuming that this is with a gallon or so and not the entire batch. Do not want to invest in O2 and...
