Volume of green tea to add

Planning on adding cold brew green tea to a sour about a day before I bottle. However, I don't want to increase the volume of the beer too much. Its a 2.5 gallon batch, and I was thinking of steeping 25g of green tea in about 2 or so cups of water. But I don't know if that enough water. Any...

    Fishing!

Agreed. I go fishing to get food lol. We have strict rules here on a lot of fish. So I usually only bring home 1 or 2, unless I go deep sea fishing.

    Fishing!

Oh I do. The reds if they are legal always come home. The big trout too. The snook dont because they arent in season.

    Pumpkin beer question?

The best plan is to not brew one. Buy them and let the women drink them. IMHO ;)

Mashing out with a round cooler (tried BeerSmith..big mistake)

When you add the water, it pretty much stirs it up for you. But ya, you can go ahead and stir since you haven't started your grain bed yet

Mashing out with a round cooler (tried BeerSmith..big mistake)

I fly sparge as well when making 5g batches. I reserve the MO water in a separate pot and use my stove to heat it to boiling. Then dump it into the cooler to perform the mashout. My sparge kettle has it's own water for sparring afterwards.

    Fermentation time

Definetly can't hurt waiting a couple of days

    Fermentation time

Good question. I also question the "way we've always done it" technique of letting normal gravity beers stay in a fermenter for weeks. I dont know the definitive answer

New Project - Honey Mango Hefeweizen

You could use honey malt instead, too

To bottle, or not to bottle...that is the question

Crazy, all.of my beers have reached FG within 2 or 4 days. I ferment in the mid 60s usually, Fwiw.

pH Meter That Doesn't Need To Be Calibrated?

I calibrate my YSI at work every morning and then check it again within 24 hours. Just a check, but the process is the same with one less button to push Its the worst part of my job, man.

    Brewing a Hefeweizen?

Step mash using beersmith to calculate for you. Easier than decoction, possibly better than a single infusion. After that its all about temp, yeast, aeration. As stated above, hard to master but fun and cheap to experiment with. And its not trendy like 1 or 3 beer types right now

    Dunkles Weissbier Dunkel the Wise

I messed up and ordered pale wheat instead of 2 row. So, as a smart individual, I made an informed decision to brew anyway. Bubbling away now. Dunkel the Wise beer 2.5 lbs pale wheat 2.5 lbs dark wheat 4 oz Munich type 2 4 oz chocolate malt 0.5 oz tettnanger 3.4aa @ 60 0.5 oz tettnanger 3.4aa @...
