    Cheap compact wort pump

Yes, that's cavitation. No way to avoid it if you're trying to pump boiling liquid. Note that you if you are recirculating constantly you don't need to boil - just get to near boiling temperature. Getting rid of the DMS is done via agitation of the wort, which boiling will do but a constant...

    Cheap compact wort pump

Thank you so much dude, that did it! I just managed to fix it well enough to demonstrate it works and sell :) Ended up looking at all my gear, realizing how much time effort and money I've spent, and that I can't keep this up. Selling it all for a pico :)

Canada Toronto - 15 gallon brewery, stand, kegs & parts

Sorry for the lack of reply: I'm really trying to sell as a unit and not end up stuck with most of the parts (but not enough to make it work). Selling the pump alone would cripple my ability to brew! Updated, price drop, and more pictures to follow.

    Cheap compact wort pump

Does anyone have tips on maintenance / fixing of the little tan pump? Mine is super, super finicky. I've taken it apart and cleaned it out but the insides seem to be pretty wobbly / not want to move well.

    Brewie

That's not encouraging. They're shipping what, a month from now? less? Despite that, a working demo unit's not available.

    Brewie

The more I think about it, the more 2.5 gallon batch size makes sense for these devices: -5 gallon corny kegs are great for fermenting and closed transfer... -but 10/15 gallon corny kegs are generally 4x as expensive -2.5 gallons will drink faster, allowing you to brew twice as many recipes...

    Brewie

Well, why not! -Is their software web service dependent or can it function offline? -What's the cleaning cycle consist of? -What's their batch consistency/efficiency in terms of mashing?

Canada Toronto - 15 gallon brewery, stand, kegs & parts

Update: Will include more pictures next week. Everything together's about $2500 (CDN). Will reduce to $2000 (CDN) if someone wants to buy the system altogether. and I can arrange delivery within Southern Ontario or as far as Buffalo. So...I put in an irresponsible amount of time and effort...

    PicoBrew Zymatic

Awesome. Thanks Denny. Now to sell the equipment I spent an absurd amount of time and money designing and building. *sigh*

    PicoBrew Zymatic

Hey all! I'm on my way from a house to a smaller apartment in about a year and am going to have to ditch my big brew setup. Looking at apartment-sized options and the zymatic seems the best fit. One big question: Is DMS a problem here? Everywhere I've read that boiling is required to remove...

    CIP Pump worthy?

Resurrecting a dead thread: has anyone successfully used one of those Shurflo pumps for CIP or possible bottle cleaning application?

Connecting my stand to house plumbing?

It's too much wastewater, especially in Winter. If a dishwasher can connect safely why not a brew stand?

Connecting my stand to house plumbing?

I'm looking to connect my brew stand to my house plumbing. The stand sits on my deck, immediately adjacent to my kitchen sink and plumbing. There's actually a little door built into the house to enable this kind of thing I think. I just now need to A: tap into the drain and B: tap into the...

    Semi-unique 3-vessel single tier brewery

It's been a semi productive day. Installed electric ignitors, and discovered that the mounting holes on the banjo burners SUCK. As in "the thread will almost effortlessly strip off and be useless" suck, sadly.

    Semi-unique 3-vessel single tier brewery

Update: it's alive and working. Had to swap out a regular kettle for the bottom drain keggle. I'll have to make the kettle tippy dump as well to achieve my CIP goal. Gonna be splicing the stand into my kitchen cold water line and sink drain line as well. Finally, a sad development. My...

    Can you categorize my beer?

So...I'm not entirely sure what my beer ends up qualifying as. The first version of it was mostly munich, midnight wheat, and chocolate, but now it's the grain bill below. I wanted to add a whole bunch of mouth feel but fear this now no longer qualifies as a schwarbier. What would you lot say...

Spacing for BG14 burners and keggle's
