    Kolsch and Mango?

So the bottle conditioning is done through 2 weeks now and I completed a mango Kolsch. I used the tincture of mango that came with my recipe. I tried to keep it light, 5 drops in each bottle. It really did turn out well. The Kolsch alone is very good and split done with and some without but...

    Fermentation question

Ok so after bottling this and having one of the bottles after only one week conditioning and now two weeks, I have to say, I really love this Kolsch! I whirlpool hopped it with remaining 1/2 oz and regardless of the blow off that happened and re-mixing everything in the fermenter, this bad boy...

Mango Seltzer with dried Mango adjuncts

With so much interest in this post,I feel I owe an update. Fermentation was still going strong 5 weeks later. FG was difficult to understand as the bubbling continued yet FG never really moved. I removed the Mango chunks out in hopes things would settle which they did. Bubbling stopped...

    Fermenting Temperature?

So I bottle condition and that has been consistent. I haven't played around with carbonation much. I just bottled and Untappd a different batch where I added the tincture to some bottles and not others for comparison, and so far my impressions are the ones with the tincture seem to have more of...

    Can't contain my excitement!!!

Done! Citra SMASH IPA from byo.com recipe. Maris Otter pale ale malt and 3oz of Citra including dry hop should be a good one to start with! Home brew supply store hooked me up with the bag and grains, and the rest is.. Well, in the fermentor bubbling now! Thanks for the push, well worth the...

Mango Seltzer with dried Mango adjuncts

4 weeks now, and still bubbling away. I may think about taking the Mango chunks out at this point and let things settle for another 2 weeks per recipe.

    Fermenting Temperature?

So I can't answer to temperature, please let us know how it worked out. What I can tell you is that I have some bottles that have been cellaring for 2 months given to friends, the feedback was good and also shows me that 8 weeks seems to have done this beer some good, at least from bottling...

    Fermenting Temperature?

Samples yes. When I do gravity ratings I sample the beer for sure. How does the clarity look?

    Can't contain my excitement!!!

Awesome, good luck. I am where you are but am still in research and equipment acquisition phase at this point. Go do it! I may be closer behind you in timing.

Mango Seltzer with dried Mango adjuncts

Update: This baby is a beast. It's still bubbling away which has been some kind of seltzer record for me. 17 days into it and only moderately slower than earlier. The dried mango chunks are floating on the top and I may take them out soon, taste, measure, and see how things look.

    Fermenting Temperature?

I have 2 simple wide mouth bubblers and certainly helps to scratch any brewing itch I may get. What would three allow me to do...hmmm 🤔

    Fermentation question

For those curious. Hop up on top

    Fermentation question

Ha funny! Ha thanks! Yes I recall doing a hop shot taste and lost my sense of taste for at least a day. Well, theoretically most could all end up at the bottom anyway right? We shall see right

    Fermentation question

Thanks. Maybe I am babying this batch and paying a bit too much attention to it, but I was a bit paranoid that some of the goodness that would have normally been still floating on the top, but due to the pressure seemed to have erupted on the walls. I just now before reading this response...

    Fermentation question

I had a similar thing just happen today My big mouth bubbler lid was not tightly secured enough during the first 48 hours and last night seemed to have erupted a bit. Came to see lid had slid all the way to the top, still covering but not sealing, and airlock had wort up inside it. I took the...

    Fermenting Temperature?

Going by recipe instructions and timing, it does call for a pretty long secondary, and the temperature you referenced depending on your yeast choice certainly lines up. Do you have prior similar batches you can compare your results with the asks and recipe requirements of this one? If you...

    Fermenting Temperature?

Are you planning on doing a secondary? I left mine (half) in primary for 3 weeks and the other half in secondary for 2 which clarified nicely - both bottled at the same time. Patience, with this one you are in no rush. 8 days is early regardless of what you plan on next imo. Yes gravity should...

Mango Seltzer with dried Mango adjuncts

So I have a kit from Northern Brewer of the Mango hard seltzer and have done one seltzer in the past and have brewed under 10 beer batches in the past. I'm thinking of doing this one and just like beers, adding dried Mango adjuncts into the fermenter or even at the boil time.... Anyone with...
