How do I be a bad neighbor, without actually being a bad neighbor??

How about being a great neighbor/brewer and give him some spent grains? You know, save the earth! Tell him to lay them out on cookie sheets in the house to air dry for a few days.

What should the ideal 6 pack be?

I have a separate regulator for sodas/ force carbing. I also have a dedicated soda keg. That way the kiddos get to have something cool to brew.

    Self Restraint????

I got used to mine after 6 months or so. Now I just pour a half glass every once in awhile to see how the beers are aging. My friends on the other hand are still enthralled. Last keg...1 1/2 days.

    MIAB - Sparge or Squeeze?

In honor of this thread I actually squeezed the bag this time (I never do). No sparge. Picked up 1/2 gallon of wort, slightly cloudy but settled right out. I had silicone BBQ gloves so it was simple and safe. I ended up liking the reduced strike water volume. Hit my numbers bang on, no...

Best way to get all grain ingredients

I use morebeer mostly. They charge for shipping 50lb bags but don't for 10lb bags. So I just order 5-10lb bags. I usually order 2-6 batches at a time.

Good IPA recipes to try out?

Try making a recipe with Beersmith. It's easy and free for 30 days. Start from scratch or take an existing recipe and change it to your liking. I'm making unique stuff all the time and it's mostly as good as any recipe you'll find.

    Pound of Flesh

You also have an asset. So if you sell the equipment at 50% of purchase price you really haven't lost/spent as much as you think. Bonus points if you buy previously depreciated equipment.

    Helium Beer Test

It was a joke/trick video which I found absolutely hilarious. But it does bring up some questions. From my rudimentary past, yes helium is soluble in beer/water...just very very slightly. Certainly not enough to alter your voice or do really anything. It wouldn't carb a beer for sure.
