Federation Special Ale - Northern Clubs UK

Brewed and gone, it was well received by those who got a taste :) Considering how simple and inexpensive it is to make I can hardly recommend it enough. aamcle

Sanitising a Counter Pressure bottle filler?

I found several stands on youtube I have taken inspiration from them. I will have adjustable height and the filler will swing out so the bottle can be fitted. Like this aamcle

Sanitising a Counter Pressure bottle filler?

Ah... well. to sanitise I pump hot water 90Deg + water through it. As for the bottle filler I've not used it yet, I have only just just got the parts to build a stand and without the stand I can only see it as a nightmare to use. aamcle

Putting fermenter on a stir plate?

Somebody has to so here goes with the obvious answer. Try it and let us know :) For all we actually know it might make a huge difference. It's something I've thought about my self but I'm not curious enough to motivate me to do the testing. ATB. aamcle

Sanitising a Counter Pressure bottle filler?

After much moaning from my son who, the savage that he is, wants to drink from the bottle I've decided to build a bottling station based on this:- I bought it complete it's MUCH cheaper than buying the parts but I'm concerned about sanitising it, my thought is to pump percarbonate through it...

Looking for advice on electric systems

A little hint from a GF owner you don't actually need to heat the sparge water, I still manage about 75% brew to brew with cold water. I might get a bit more if I heat the water but it's not convenient so I don't. atb. aamcle

    BrewEasy/Grainfather Hybrid Build

This is a Blitchmann Breweasy/Grainfather inspired build. Originally I had been going to use an old Burco as the mash tun but it’s an interesting shape isn’t really round and and the shape changes as you move up from the base. I might still have used it even with it’s faults but it’s short...

    Blichmann BrewEasy

Temp swings. Did you tune the PID for the system as your going to use it, that is with the orifice you intend to use? You could try this:- Decide how much water your going to use in the mash tun when you mash in, note this is less than the total volume. Determine the strike temperature for...
