    Recipe Question Coopers KIt???

Mix 2 Coopers kits of your choice together. Mix with water and top up to 23L. Rehydrate both packets of yeast and chuck it in. Add about an ounce of aroma hops 1-2 weeks before bottling.

    Apple wine/cider

I have just started making a brew using apple juice and sugar with some wine yeast and yeast nutrient as the OG was 1.088. Should I leave the airlock on right from the start, or should I leave the airlock off for a while to give the yeast some oxygen?

Does my store bought cider have to be unpasteurized?

Don't use apple juice that contains potassium sorbate. It will kill the yeast. Pasteurized apple juice is fine.

    turbo yeast for cider

Turbo yeast was never meant for cider, beer, mead, wine etc. It was designed for something else which I don't want to mention in case the fun police read this.

    Apple juice

I'm guessing that any apple juice will be fine if it doesn't contain any preservatives.

    Why Do We Brew/Drink Ales?

It's because most people don't like a high quality ale, they prefer cheap nasty lagers from the big breweries which have a lot of money to spend on advertising to brainwash ignorant consumers about how good their (****) product is.

    Apple juice

I've found some apple juice on special at a supermarket and on the ingredients list it says: reconstituted apple juice (100%), flavour, vitamin C. Will that be suitable for making cider?
