    dreaded Wyeast3724 1.030 stall..

I ran into similar problem with same scenario. I took some 3711 out of the one carboy and added it to the 3724 and viola! 7% and tastes very nice. Kegging it this weekend. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew while drinking a brew as I brew.

    Wyeast 3711 French Saison

I fermented in the low 70's and this finished with a nice spicey flavor. This last one that stalled with the 3724 is at 6.8% today. I added from the 3711 two weeks ago. Initially it ramped up, slowed, and is still bubbling every 20 sec or so. Nice spice and a champagne tingle on the tongue...

    Wyeast 3711 French Saison

Thx. I like that idea. I don't do a secondary. I keg after about 3-4 weeks in the primary. I'm thinking I can get some from the bottom and transfer it. Both are at 8 days. The 3724 is doing its job, but so slowly impatience may finally get the best of me. Especially with your idea. I can also do...

    Wyeast 3711 French Saison

3711 is one of my favorites. I decided to torture myself by splitting a 10 gallon batch: one pitched with 3711 and the other with 3724. I think I have atleast 3 weeks for the latter to finish while the former hit 1.01 in 4 days. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew while drinking a brew as I brew.

    Belgian, 1.040 stuck fermentation

Dropped to 1.34 and 4% at one week today and about 36 hrs after initial post. I plan to ride the time and temperature train, however so slowly. She is in the high 80's temp wise now. If the trend continues I will continue to relax and have a homebrew. If not, pitch my starter if not dry enough...

    Belgian, 1.040 stuck fermentation

I am testing it again later to find out either way. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew while drinking a brew as I brew.

    Belgian, 1.040 stuck fermentation

If it continued to stall I was going to make a small starter. As it stands, it is bubbling and I'm much more optimistic with how it responded to jacking the temperature now than I was. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew while drinking a brew as I brew.

    Belgian, 1.040 stuck fermentation

Since I posted, temps up and airlock burps are picking up. Will check again once they slow back done and hopefully if dries out enough. Chasing taste and not necessarily the number. Bonus points for not having to burn a fresh vial of yeast to boost it. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew while...

    Belgian, 1.040 stuck fermentation

Having the same issue with Wyeast Belgian 3724. Stalled as I feared it would after checking today. I'm warming into the 80's and did a stir and rechecking in a couple of days. It's only 3.2% after 6 days now and also too sweet for me. If no significant change I have a vial of wlp001 that I will...

    ghetto brew setups?...

New to the group and been brewing since the fall. Graduated from a ghetto rig to purchasing a used ruby street rig this weekend. Can't wait to try it soon. Converted it to NG last night.

    Which freezer to make kezzer

I just bought the black Kenmore 8.8 cubic foot freezer chest to turn it into a keezer. It easily holds four kegs and the CO2. So far, the lowest temp setting holds steady at 42 with the kegs inside.
