Can I use this hose to make a hose?

I didn't think the washing machine ones were for potable water use. I was looking at those today in HD. If they are OK, then way easier than making my own hose. Only limiting factor would be length. Need to be able to reach the brewstand.

Can I use this hose to make a hose?

I just installed a utility sink in the brewery. Right now it has the typical laundry sink faucet. I am looking to make a hose to connect to the sink. This hose will be used for filling kettles and washing equipment (hence the need for being potable and ability to handle hot water from tap)...

    Induction Burner extension cord question....

I know a lot of people use the Avanti 3500 model, but I am not there yet. I have the 1800 watt 120V model. That being said, can an extension cord be safely used with these? if so, what kind would I need? I am looking to get maybe 10-15 feet.

Do you mean hit it with like 20-30psi before storing?

    Switching kegs before empty..

I only have room for three kegs at a time in the keezer. Is it bad to pull a keg off gas and out of keezer and replace with a different one before its empty? I am hoping that I can then go back to the original keg (after re chilling) when I choose? Is this swapping method going to ruin...

    Rye Bread Beer Yeast choice

I found a "jewish" rye bread beer recipe. It calls for Trappist yeast WLP500. I am not familiar with ths strains. I do not care for the clove and banana flavors Belgian yeasts produce. Also, I don't think they would work with this grain bill. That being said, I will probably ferment in...

    Hot water/hose questions

I am looking for advice on what type of hose I can get to use connected to a sink for hot water. All RV "garden" hoses seem to say not for use with hot water. Also, to quicken getting to strike temp does anyone start with hot water from their tap? (I currently have an electric water heater...

Will this cheap 3500 watt induction burner work?

I have the Monster Brew 1.2 (i think they are basically the tall boys). The bottom is strong and seems to work well with my 1800w burner. FWIW, the owners of my brew store use induction and they have the BC pots. He said one of the only problems he sees is sometimes the bottoms buckle and...

Question for Harford County Maryland Homebrewer's

I am moving to Bel Air in the next week or so. I have heard that the water (we will be on public and not well) is heavily chlorinated. Any advice? I am coming from Baltimore County where the water was great for brewing without doing any water chemistry additions/subtractions.

    Help session-izing my IIPA

IMO that is way too high of an IBU for a session IPA. I have one that mimics Founders ALl day (per my homebrewclub reviews) and it only comes in around 45 IBU and 4.2%ish ABV. I have brewed a few of the session IPA's and no where near an expert. What I have found is that the key is late hop...
