    Adding valve to corny

This is a workable idea. I'd like to throw out one more possibility for your consideration. Instead of modifying the keg, why not make an adapter out of tubing? You could have a Schrader valve (tire stem) on one end, some tubing, and the corny ball or pin connector on the other end. This...

Adding rum and oak cubes after primary

If you go the muslin bag route, you may want to add a few sanitized marbles to the bag. That will help it sink so they don't stay dry and float on top. When they flat, you don't get as much flavor from them.

Wanna buy a wicked clean IBU?

No, but Metroid was a favorite of mine back in the day.

    It is normal?

Looks like good krausen with some hop matter suspended. As normal as it gets. And....welcome to HBT!

    Cam locks

That turned out nicely. Sometimes I find the biggest frustration isn't the cost of replacement parts, but the wait time and shipping costs on the one or two small items.

Lookin for advice on Spiced Caramel Apple Cider Ale.

I just dump it in, and I've never had an infection. You will get a renewed fermentation. Make sure you take a gravity reading before you add the cider, or you won't have any way to determine ABV. (Ask me how I know)

Wow! That is unique. I love the tap handles. The choice of wood compliments the concrete top ( or is it the other way around?)

    Blue Moon Clone

I'm going to try this one on Saturday. I'm planning on 10 gallons of #8.

What are you doing during the shut down?

No real change for my daily routine. At least I don't need to worry about OSHA showing up today.

Lookin for advice on Spiced Caramel Apple Cider Ale.

I have used cider (pasteurized) in the secondary and it imparts a great flavor. I highly recommend it. I force carb, so I don't know about how much you need for force carbing. I use 1 gallon of cider in a secondary of 5 gallons of wort/beer.

That just might be one of the more expensive draft towers out there. Beautiful!

There's a special place in hell for certain people...

Ouch! IMO the worst part is that last second when you know the collision is imminent, and everything seems to be in slow motion as it happens. So many things run through the brain in that short time. I hope your recovery goes quickly!

    Aseptic technique

I'm curios about your methods for sanitizing the air. Bleach requires a certain contact time to be effective as a sanitizer. When spraying the air, how do you guarantee that the air stays in contact with the bleach for one minute?

How long is your Brew Day???

Like Yooper, I usually run close to 5 hours. Add an extra half hour if I do a detailed cleanup over and above the usual rinse out.
