    Dry hopping a lager

Thanks for the replies. To clarify, I had thought about adding the dry hops after the D-rest and then removing before kegging/lagering so as to avoid the potential vegetal flavors. I may try this anyway, and then check the hop aroma after lagering and add some more hops as necessary. I have...

    Dry hopping a lager

I just brewed a Indian Pale Lager, somewhat inspired by Widmer's Hopside Down. It is a 10 gallon batch that had approximately 7oz of hops in the boil and another 3oz of dry hops. I am wondering when I should introduce the dry hops. My current thought process is to let the fermentation run...

Type of DME a big deal in starters?

I would think so. I often use leftover sparge water from the previous brew that I reduce to around 1.040, irrespective of the style. I guess you wouldn't want to use a really dark wort.

    Four Kegs One Tap

Would you mind providing links where you purchased some of the hardware, in particular the solenoids. I love this project and want to give it a go. Also, could you not use a $10 USB wifi dongle for the rasberry pi to do away with the router? Thanks

Help deciding what to brew today. Need help fast

I want to brew this afternoon, but I am not feeling very decisive. I want to brew something sessionable (I am thinking 1.050 or less), and hoppy at the same time. I have a large slurry of Nottingham and my 13 gal conical is open. I have the following base grain: ~20lb Pale ~20lb Wheat...

    Keg Priming questions

I recently got into brewing, and fortunately decided to keg from the outset, never have bottled a beer - dont really plan on it any time soon. I have previously force carbed all of my previous batches, but I have been meaning to give keg priming a try. I normally find the pipeline has slowed...

    Minimum RIMS tube diameter

I am looking at a 1.25" diameter RIMS tube. The price is right, but I want to make sure that the size is too. I was under the impression that you wanted 1.5" or 2" diameter, will 1.25" work? Will. Be limited in the type of element I could use. I am planning on doing a 110v system. Thanks

    Minnesota Rim tube

Interested. Is the diameter 1.25OD or ID? Worried that it would not fit an element correctly.
