Kickstarter for SS Mash Tun, Kettle and Fermenter

Not only is it needed for recirc, but also for fill from the heating tank.

Kickstarter for SS Mash Tun, Kettle and Fermenter

With this I think I'm going to be in for one. This is certainly the one item that's missing from the homebrew market. Coolers work, but they end up warping or cracking. Not to mention they don't blend in very well with all the other equipment in our setups.

    Growler, what's the point?

Train ride home from NYC today, wish I had a growler......

    Growler, what's the point?

This I have no problem doing.

    Growler, what's the point?

I'm talking about the beer itself when you're getting a refill, growler aside.

    Cutting Board Pump Base

I wanted to have a pump base that was durable, easy to clean, would not mold and had to ability to capture some spilled liquid. My solution was to use a poly cutting board. While it wont catch as much liquid as I would like, it does have a built in handle as an added bonus. The drip shield is...

    Growler, what's the point?

Didn't say I don't like them, I have a collection of about 15 of them and always carry two empties in the car. What I don't understand is when the store has the growler fill for $12 to $15 and the 6-pack of the same beer for $9.99.

    Growler, what's the point?

Here in NY you can get growlers at breweries, beer stores, supermarkets and gas stations. I'm specifically talking about a beer that is available at the same place in both growler and 6-pack. I have found that the 6-pack is always cheaper.

    Growler, what's the point?

Besides beer that's not available in a bottle/can, why would you ever buy a growler of beer? I typically find that growlers cost more than a 6-pack of the same beer, the 6-pack has more beer. A growler is going to go flat in short order once cracked open, comparatively the 6-pack will...

    Brew Boss Systems

The only preloaded steps are for BIAB, like their complete system. If your setup is different, then you would have to write your own steps. If you do write your own steps, it can't be stressed enough to perform a wet run for verification, adjustment and familiarization with the controller.

anybody else annoyed with the whole IPA craze?

I'm annoyed with the high abv craze, nearly impossible to go out and session drink these days!

    Brew Boss controller

My understanding is no, but I could be wrong. Your best bet is to email Brew Boss and ask. They are very responsive and have great customer service.

    Blichmann BoilCoil/Controller help

I think it's just the opposite on the forum. I tend to see more bragging about how little people spend on their setups compared to others, than I see people saying "look at me I have Blichmann setup".... The expensive setups are posted up, but for the most part I just don't see it as bragging. I...

High Gravity Brewing vs Brew Boss vs Another Electric Brewing Setup

This is how I'm setting up my system with a Brew Boss controller. Here is the thread I started on it: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f170/brew-boss-systems-475360/ I, like others who have posted in this thread, am more than capable of building my own controller. But I simply didn't want to use...

    Brew Boss Systems

Since getting the controller I just haven't had time to brew, so I have no actual brew sessions on it yet. But this weekend I did have a chance to do a wet run with steps that I wrote for my system consisting of a heating tank and cooler MLT (HT shown in post #38). The wet run was very useful in...

    Will this extention cord work?

In addition, in the work place cutting off a plug and replacing it with another plug is an issue of liability. The cord and plug in most cases are a listed assembly, either UL or some other recognized organization. Once you cut off the plug and replace it with another it's now modified and no...

    Wiring 3-wire cord for L6-20 or L14-20?

Yes, you can put a 4 prong plug on your controller and only connect the 3 wires that it uses. That's how I did mine.
