    I stopped using a hop bag in the BK. It always ballooned like you said and I felt like I was losing flavor. Now I just suck up all the hop materiel into the fermenter. I've done this the last 2 IPA's and they turned out awesome

    Thats a nice clean setup....so cheers to that Killing the power and stopping the pump wont help your efficiency....as far as anyone knows...things change daily around here.....That being said give it a shot. Be sure to give a nice stir as your dumping in the the grain to get it good and mixed...

    The thing to wonder is if anything is isnt fried now did they get damaged shortening their lifespan getting screwed later. I'd return everything and start from scratch Why waste more of your time testing and troubleshooting their mistake just to make sure new equipment isnt damaged ...sucks
