My Stirplate... Cheap and Easy Build...

Finished my second stirplate and thought I would post pics of both. Small uses 1 inch bar and is for yeast starters. The bigger uses a 2 inch bar and is for Mead. The glass is 2 gallon from Walmart for $10 I use for mead batches. The plan is to continuously stir the mead for the first week or so.

Stirplate - 12v too much, 6v won't turn it on???

    Fuggles flavor

I love Shipyard Fuggles. I make a clone that uses all Fuggles as well. I have made it several times. I even tried dry hopping with Fuggles last time. Fuggles is one of my favorite hops. I do not taste dirt. I do understand the "earthy" tones though. I also like sayign and writing FUGGLES.

Candy cane with pumpkin spice Holiday Ale

I accidentally discovered that sucking on a candy cane or other mint type candy really enhances the flavors of the spices in my holiday ale. Thought I would share and see if anyone else noticed this with theirs.

Bought one of these to try out. Able to drink half the Coor before I had to dump it. Put a little pipe tape around the top of the Co2 I got from my local homebrew shop and no leaks works great.
