Best type of wedding ring for opening beers

Some may. I've worked in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. None of those do. In fact even the cutters aren't required but some trucks have them. Some don't. I know other paramedics around the country and have never heard of it, though I could see how it wouldnt come up in regular...

Best type of wedding ring for opening beers

I was going to say, all of those really hard rings look cool but its a good idea to take them off if you are ever doing anything around really heavy stuff. Ive seen some pretty gnarley injuries. No they don't. You may get lucky and get a truck with a ring cutter on it but it will only work...

About to brew first batch!!!! Questions of course..

Just checked on my beer. 14 days in. Still bubbling. I'll take another reading next wednesday and again next saturday. If they are the same, I will bottle then. Thats 24 days in primary. Should be good right? I may just put off drinking any until Christmas eve. Yeah, right!

About to brew first batch!!!! Questions of course..

I have a bucket. The bucket is actually already marked. Is it fairly risk free to add the priming sugar on top? Then stir VERY GENTLY? Or should I try and guess conservatively and then add to the top if it absolutely needs it?

About to brew first batch!!!! Questions of course..

Yea, I didnt stir at all when I added the top off water. Funny, I watched a bunch of videos and none of them said anything about it. All of them poured the wort said "this is the only time you WANT to agitate and oxidize your beer". Then they just top off and chill. Oh well. Live and learn...

About to brew first batch!!!! Questions of course..

Yeah, I pulled the blow-off, added a regular airlock and moved it to a warmer place. It is still bubbling the airlock maybe once every 45-60 seconds, so I guess its not done. Since it looks like my FG is going to be very close to what it should be, is it safe to assume that my OG reading...

    Made a huge bottle opener

Had to break out my table saw yesterday to work on a project and while it was out I decided to make this bottle opener Ive had an idea about for a while now. Just used some spruce 1x4s, a 1x10, and an old glass out of a picture frame. Came out a little big because I had to leave...

About to brew first batch!!!! Questions of course..

12 Days in and I think I have beer! Took a gravity reading, smelled great, tasted like I think a warm, flat nut brown ale should taste lol Gravity question. My initial reading was 1.053 This is at about 72 degrees and after adding about 3gal of cold spring water to top off/chill the wort...

    What are you drinking now?

This man took "stout day" very seriously

    What are you drinking now?

I do not have a stout for stout day. I am not happy about that.

    What are you drinking now?

I've never really cared for anything Ive had from these guys. This is.........not really any different. Drinkable for sure, and I think I paid 7.99 so the value is good. Every have one of those beers where you like everything about it but just wish it was all "more".

    What are you drinking now?

Sam Adams gets a lot of hate these days but I actually really like this IPA. Dunno if it really fits in with the other West Coast IPAs I've had (I'm not a huge fan) but it is good and its accesible. Being in a rural Alabama I have a sort of different standard for beers I can actually get without...

    Bitter Chocolate Imperial Stout (Extract)

Stumbled upon this recipe and it sounds good (chocolate, stout, and imperial, all being among my favoritest words). But I've only ever brewed one recipe so I don't really know jack about ingredients yet. I was going to buy another kit but this will actually be quite a bit cheaper and even...
