Looking for a strong intoxicating blonde offering good head

I looked through the recipe section of the forum but only saw 2 extract recipes. Does anyone have any suggestions for a blonde that has a bit of a wheatie flavor, a fairly high OG, but fairly smooth and clean overall for summer drinking? I was thinking of just getting a blonde kit from...

    Pellet vs. Leaf

Unfortunately I will only have ziplock storage bags and my freezer to keep these. Right now debating between order from Niko (pellet) and Freshops (leaf) ..

Also, is a 1" the correct diameter for the holes? Is it necessary to use any kind of sealant?

    Kegerator Building Tips

Thanks, I will go with the hole cutter. I have a not super powerful cordless drill. Think this will be enough or would I need the rpms of a corded drill? mostly I just wanna make sure I don't screw up the fridge door. Good advice on the piece of wood.

    Kegerator Building Tips

I finally got all the pieces to do my first build. Unfortunately my construction background is somewhat limited. I will be putting 2 holes into the door of a sanyo 4912. What type of bit would be best to ensure I don't mangle the plastic? Is there anything else I should take into consideration...

    Yet another Apfelwine Thread

What is the process for adding apple juice concentrate? Do you heat it to boil then dump in the carboy? Mix with Water? Squeeze it in frozen? Still new to the apfelwein scene but have 3 variations in carboys now.

Cider vs Beer final gravity - Part II

What is the process to back sweetening? I'd imagine trying to add unfermentable sugar at the end might be tough to mix in without adding oxygen to the wort.

    Man, I love Apfelwein

This weekend I found a good deal on carboys from craigslist so naturally I decided to make me 3 varying batches of apfelwine. Batch 1 - Original recipe treetop juice from concentrate with an OG of about 1.068 Batch 2 - Treetop juice from concentrate with a pound of medium brownsugar, pound...

Did I get some wild yeast?

So last week I started brewing an IPA and it wasn't til after my wort was about ready to hit my new fermenting that I noticed the lid was not airtight at the seal. I figured I was far enough along I'd best try to MacGyver it then let the wort sit at room temp while I ran to the brew store. So I...

    Beer Conditioning when Kegging

When keg conditioning can I just hook up the co2, crank it to 30psi, bleed a few times, then disconnect? I only have 1 co2 and 1 regulator that will be running my kegerator so I won't be able to have it hooked up during the aging/conditioning process.

    Man, I love Apfelwein

I am thinkin about trying one of these but instead of 2lbs of corn sugar I wanted to try boiling about 1qt of water with honey, 1lb corn sugar, and a couple cinamon sticks then add that to the apple juice before pitching. Any thoughts?

    Is this the right Sanyo?

I found a fridge on craigslist selling a sanyo fridge that does not have a freezer. No pics and the person doesn't know the model number but the measurements are: Height: 33 1/4 inches Width: 21 1/4 inches Length: 21 ¾ inches This sound like the one to use?

What a difference just a week makes!

Well I figure if I get on the right brewing schedule I can have a batch fermenting, a batch aging, and a batch getting drank at any given time. Basically the circle of life.

What a difference just a week makes!

I just started to get into my first batch (IPA) and I am just amazed at how much the beer improved from week 2 to week 3 in a bottle. After 2 weeks it had a noticeable sweetish burning. Not sure how to describe it but it's the same flavor I have noticed a lot in New Belgiums Trippel. Anyway...
